Product introduction:
This product is a special and excellent high tolerance saccharomyces cerevisiae, with outstanding high temperature resistance, acid resistance. It not only has excellent raw material utilization rate, but also can independently synthesize glucoamylase to reduce the use of enzyme preparations in the alcohol production process. Suitable for producing fuel ethanol from starchy raw materials.
Product characteristics:
1. Temperature tolerance 108°F(43℃). The fermentation can be achieved at 82°F -108°F (22-42℃).
2. Ethanol tolerance: ≤18%(v/v).
3. Acid tolerance: high resistance to acid, produce ethanol when pH is 2.5, which is favorable for controlling prevent bacteria contamination and improving alcohol productivity.
4. Have a fast fermentation rate.
5. Stronger reproductive ability, smaller consumption.
6. The usage of glucoamylase can be reduced by 30%。

Application Methods
1. Direct add yeast in fermentation tank (batch fermentation):
Each liter of mash is inoculated with 0.2-0.5 g of dry yeast, and the initial cell count of fermentation
mash reaches 5 million/ml.
2. Propagation in culture tank:
When the equipmentand process allow, based on strictly controlling bacterial infection and providing the yeast with the required nutrition, inoculate to ferment after culturing for 8-10 hours, so as to relatively reduce the yeast consumption. In consideration of the aging and degeneration of yeast in the culture process, the optimal inoculation replacement cycle shall be 72 hours
3. Application Points
Hydration/Blend Tank 35˚C - 38˚C (95˚F - 100˚F), The dry yeast hydration for 15~30 minutes by 5~ 10 times of sugar water(2% density)
Propagation Tank 30˚C (86˚F) , Fermentation Tank 30˚C - 35˚C (86˚F - 95˚F)
Can ferment at temperatures up to 42˚C (108˚F) for very short periods of time. However, temperatures of 30˚C - 33˚C (86˚F - 91˚F) are generally recommended
Ferments well at pH range of 3.5 to 6.0. However, a pH of 3.5 - 4.5 is optimal for fermentation.
Nutrition required by yeast culture: Nitrogen source, phosphor source, magnesium ion, zinc ion, etc.
Application characteristics
1. SE-2 could autonomously synthesize glycosidase
